Faith

I once had a family,
I once had standing,
I once had a mother,
I once had a community,
I once had a career,
I once had a dream,
I once had financial security,
I once had ambition,
I once believed in humanity.

What I see now is, mistrust, multiple stab wounds in my back, betrayal, dishonesty, fake community, poverty, lies, false idols and misguided loyalties.

Yet I still hold the faith, Shine my light and live in hope that my kind heart and drive to help others, the Animal Kingdom and humanity, will one day be rewarded and my plight to remain pure in an insane world will not have been in vain.

May all beings return to wholeness, to heal from their wounds and stand in the grace once again.

3 Weeks To Go

We will be leaving Cyprus on the 24th February after almost 5 years of highs and lows, mainly lows. The journey back is going to be a bit of a nightmare and things back in the UK are not panning out as planned. We will be moving into a camper van, a converted VW LT46 that I bought from a friend. It needs some welding doing to it and a few internal changes that he was going to do before I got back, but unfortunately he cant do it in time with his workload. No biggie really, just means that I will have to put up with less space in the van for a while, the welding I can get done elsewhere. The other issue is getting it over from Doncaster to Barnsley because it has to be insured and I will have to put him on as named driver which is around an extra £70. :/

So, I have made a youtube, fb page, tiktok and instagram pages solely for the camper van journey. I have been trying to learn how to edit vids for a year now and failed badly…but a friend recommended an app which i tried out last night and it seems fairly simple, I decided to trial run it by making a photo montage of my time in Cyprus, to remember the good times.

If you would like to follow our journey as we join the vanlife community, then please feel free to subscribe to my channel.

Here is the video I made last night. I hope you enjoy it 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbBGzBRg8sQ

Dancing To The Beat Of My Own Drum

Feel the beat, breathe the rhythm. Know within that all is forgiven. Release the tension, dance and sing, fill the air with dynamic flare. Bathe in the energy of tone and tempo, as vibes of joy begin to flow. Transport your mind along the wave as it washes through you with every bass. Draw upon the spirit of the drum, and soon you will be joined by the ancient ones. 💖

Action

Mountains rise reaching to the sky but below the eye they touch the heart of our mother. Holding her flesh together like her bones.

The trees reach towards the sun, their roots travelling deep, far and wide, securing it’s magnificence to the surface. Like sinews holding everything in place.

The waters flow from the heavens, permeating deep to replenish under ground streams. Like the blood flowing through our veins.

Thunder booms in the sky while lighting hits the ground with a jolt so strong it can power a car. Like the force of the pump that beats our heart.

The wind blows from all directions, sometimes soft, sometimes hard. Blowing up tyres and sailing boats. Filling our lungs and bringing us life.

Oil comes up from the deepest parts and travels around our mother, clearing, lubricating. Like the blood pumping our heart.

The grass grows long, or short, dancing in the breeze, like a beacon for passers by, absorbing the dew and offering shade.  As our hair, connecting us to heaven and earth as a natural antenna and umbrella.

These are but a few ways of how we are all connected with nature, with each other.

As above so below, as without so within.

What we do to our planet we do to ourselves and vice versa.

Is your body your temple? Or Is the mountain? If you revere only one, then life is out of balance. For without one there is no other.

Take time to observe nature today and see how she is a reflection of you.

What can you change within yourself to change what you see out in the world?

Take action today, tomorrow is not guaranteed.

21 Years Later

Dear Mum

It has been 21 years today that you left us to take your journey to reunite with creator and our ancestors.  21 years, such a long time yet at times only yesterday, the feelings still raw when our guard is down.

Were you only a year older than I am now?  It seems even more unfair now as I realise that 51 is only the start to embracing life.

You are missed daily and often in my prayers, for guidance, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude and love.

The Easter season is about resurrection to some, yet for us it was a crucifixion that has taken 21 years to come full circle and rebirth for me.  I’m sorry I am such a slow learner and procrastination being my Achilles heal but I am finally going home, in the same season that it began!

You taught me a lot mum, how to show compassion, generosity, forgiveness and love.  You also taught me how not to be, so that I may remain within the lessons of life you showed me, which are the foundation of my being.  Thank you ❤

Thank you for loving me during my ‘spirit’ episodes as a child, through my selfish teenage years and through the first 6yrs of being a mother myself. Your input to our lives has left a huge hole.

So now in my 50th year, I am following in our shared dream to live out our days on our beloved mother land.  A dream you never got to live out.  I will honour you there and carry you with me to all our favourite places, and think of you every time I see a bottle of KEO.

M – Mysterious

U – Unbeatable

M – Matriarch

I know you would be really proud of our beautiful Natasha, as I am.  She has turned out to be everything and more than what we could have hoped for after such great triple loss, she even looks like you at times.  We speak of you often to keep your memory alive and hearts connected, but, you know that don’t you.  ❤

See you soon in the Vill-Aige then we going to the Thalassa to eat Bowaton. 😉

A New Story for Humanity

What if we had the power to change the story, and with this awareness, change the world?

The Element of Air

This week I have been sitting with the element of air.

Totem: Eagle + Condor.

Air correlates to the Eastern part of creation. It represents the vital breath from the winds that brought the Universe into being, with the breath of life (Om).

Air is also connected to the mind, wisdom, spirits and the soul.

When we create a prayer ceremony, using fire, breath work or spoken word, our prayers are carried up to creator on the winds.

Air or breath is the life giver to all life on our planet, it breathes in life and exhales it in death.

When we breathe in we are inhaling oxygen that may have travelled around the world and through thousands of other beings.  And when we exhale we pass that breath along. We share this same breath with the trees as we do with the critters, It connects us all together.

If you connect to the breeze you may hear their stories, or feel them as you breathe.

There are many breath work techniques that can help with various things from anxiety to asthma to restful sleep, all help to move stagnant air out and refuel you with a fresh supply of oxygen.

Eagle and Condor, both welcome in the new day soaring on the wind, they bring in new opportunities, growth and inspiration.

When we open up to them we begin to float on the breeze, becoming one with the air that surrounds us and within us. Then we begin to comprehend this element at a deeper level.

May the winds of our Ancestors blow softly in your ear today.

Digesting our 5 a Day…

5

Yesterday, while walking I was thinking about how we ‘feed’ our earthly bodies to provide it with fuel, vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy,  and how we exercise it to keep it strong and functional.  We know that if we slack off in any of these areas, then our bodies will deteriorate and illness will set it.

So what then of the other part of our bodies that we may not be aware of, such as our emotional, Mental and spiritual body, our Soul?

Though most may feel it is a separate entity and in a way it is, however, when in this earthly vehicle it is intimately woven into every fibre of our being, it is after all the life force that pumps our heart and lungs, in affect giving us life.

Our Spiritual or Etherical bodies then, also require the same mindful attention that we give our physical bodies. We must feed them, care for them, exercise them daily to maintain a healthy self.

How do we do this, when time for most people is an issue, how can we fit 5 more self care things to our daily routine ?

What are our 5 a day supplements for the soul?

Deprogramming our mental body creates a ripple affect throughout all of our spiritual and physical bodies, so it makes sense to focus there at the source. We do this by changing how we think and we do that by changing the language we use about our stories and in our daily conversations.

Daily Affirmations have been proven to bring about sustainable changes in peoples thinking which in turn changes how they feel about things and brings about physical healing as they release old programming and free up the energy blocks that held them in the loop of pain.

In my FB group I post a daily affirmation which many have commented on how they help them, but, is one affirmation a day enough to break down stubborn blocks?

Some people struggle with affirmations if it is too far out of their belief, for example: For someone who struggles with weight issues, repeating, ‘ I am slender and healthy’, when they can see/feel this is not so and far away from their ultimate goal, may not bring about results as they desire as their ego mind will step in with doubt.  By changing the wording slightly to, ‘I choose to make healthy choices daily’, we can appease the ego and changes begin to occur, confidence builds and before you know it the original mantra comes into play.

One of my favourite sayings around affirmations is, ‘Fake it till you make it’.  Like with all programming, the more you are subjected to its vibration the more it embeds and overwrites the old programme.

Positive quotes have the same affect in a more subtle way, metaphor brings a sense of awareness without the ego going into defence mode.

Why not fast track, take that hose and super blast those neurons clean with 5 affirmations or positive quotes that stir your soul to reach its highest potential?

hose

Here are 5 affirmations to try.

  1. I choose to forgive those who have harmed me in my past and peacefully detach from them.
  2. I choose to be the architect of my life; I build its foundation and choose its contents.
  3. Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy.
  4. My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is tranquil.
  5. I am beyond reacting to negative thoughts and low actions.

And here are 5 Quotes to try

“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it.”  – Edith Wharton

“With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.” – Dr. Wayne W Dyer

“Today is a new beginning, a chance to turn your failures into achievements & your sorrows into so goods. No room for excuses.” – Joel Brown

“An attitude of positive expectation is the mark of the superior personality.”  – Brian Tracy

“We are all here for some special reason. Stop being a prisoner of your past. Become the architect of your future.” – Robin Sharma

As you read through these affirmations and quotes, sit with each one, repeat it out loud and inwardly.  How does it feel? What are your thoughts, feelings, memories, hopes?

What is your favourite affirmation or quote?

With Autumn comes the shedding of the old, to feast on its bounty and to prepare for new growth in the spring.

May the Equinoxal tides carry you towards the shore of your highest potential.

Rewriting Metaphors

movement.png

So today while walking Loui and not thinking about anything in particular, other than finding Dandelion leaves for my rabbit.  I got the words…’Riding the Waves’ and I thought to myself, ‘Think I wrote a blog with that title quite recently?’

This is what I wrote:When the still calm waters begin to stir, grab your wet suit and prepare to ride the wave as it carries you to the golden shore’.

So as I’m walking along having an inner dialogue with myself, the scene of huge waves crashing onto a beach was constantly playing in my vision…this is how it kinda went…

I asked,  Q. ‘if the blog post had come to mind as I needed to reread it for some reason?’

A. ‘No, but it will not hurt to read it again’

Q. Ok, then back to Riding the wave?

A. Watch the wave, what is your first thought?

A/Q .  It is a metaphor for the turbulent peaks and troughs that life hurls at us.?

A. Exactly!

Q.   Hmmm, that does not ‘feel’ right?

A. Watch the wave again from a different angle.

Going back into the scene fully, I viewed the sea/beach from above and this time I could see a surfer appear from under the huge wave.  I watched as he weaved his way to the top and rode it all the way to the shore.

Q. I asked how come I did not see the surfer before?

A. If we look through the same lens eventually we are blinded to all other views.

Q. Yes, I get that, so what am I missing here?

A. Look again, rewrite the metaphor.

So again, I went back into the scene, looking at it from above.  This time I saw that riding the wave did not necessarily mean ‘grin and bare it’, or, that being on top of the wave means a ‘good’ period in time/life, compared to the downward spiral.

This time I was on the surf board, surfing the waves from far out into the sea, and I saw it as a blessing.  Those thunderous waves that rise up from the belly of the ocean have the power to drag us under yes, BUT, they also carry us to shore.

Our emotions (sea) are the catalyst to change, life is turbulent, with each passing age we undergo physical, emotional and psychological changes, we are made up of 65% water, so it is in our physiology to undergo the power of the tides, our outer life may have some bearing on this but even those who seem to ‘have it all’ still suffer the same inner emotional turmoil’s.

The wave is not the enemy to be conquered, but, if we allow it, it carries us forward.                With each swell moving us away from the past and closer to the serene and stable shore.

When our toes finally feel the sand beneath them, the ride there suddenly becomes lost as we engage in the new senses and emotions new adventures that being on solid ground brings.

Give thanks for the ride, each dip, each ripple, each magical moment, that brought you back home, to yourself.
