Lone Wolf

When the chips are down look around.

Who is there that you helped in the past?

Who did you trust with your darkest fears, share your secrets with and your tears?

And who are there when you need them the most?

Take note my friend, because those you helped back to their feet, disappear when all is sweet.Β

Your burdens left for you to carry, as you sink further into the deep.

Be strong, be discerning. for those people are just too weak.

Take care in who you choose to call friend for less is more in the end.

Lone wolf I stand once again.

  1. In the end, I think, we are all alone, and everyone we met, friend or foe, helped us muddle along our journey.

One of my favorite quotes lately is by James Van Praagh: “Friends are in your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.” His point is that some friends come into our lives to teach lessons, then leave when those lessons are learned, while others are in our lives for longer, teaching us about longevity, loyalty, faithfulness, etc. All serve a greater purpose in our lives…

But I love your line: “take care in who you choose to call friend for less is more in the end.” It’s perfect! πŸ™‚

  2. A very strong and powerful message Maria. We are born alone and we will die alone. What is going on in the meantime, we are responsible for and able to choose, how many we wish to let in and keep in our inner circle.
If the same people would stay in our life for lifetime, we wouldn’t learn much new. So friends come and friends go, we use each other as teachers, which also is okay. Then we develop and go on to next level.
    Send you healing thoughts πŸ™‚

  3. Yes I howl out your sentiments here dear Maria.. And have had many a so called friend who when the chips were down were no where to be found.. I hope you are well dear Maria. and true friendships are far and few between.. So those who have them are blessed..
    Love to you my online-friend
