Spirit of the Horse

Horse carries us safely forward on our journeys through life and he carries our spirit to creator when we leave.

They teach us balance and rhythm, how to ride the ebb and flow.

Horses are loyal companions who will never forget you even with long absences.   Have you ever looked into a Horse’s eyes?  Seen their Soul? Touched on their wisdom or felt their Heart?

Noble beasts, they will fight for their ground, their family and against predators…

They represent the sacred directions of the Medicine Wheel, connecting the rider in the center.  They come in many colours and sizes, each with their own unique personalities and nuances..

Remind you of human traits?

We are all ‘animals’ that live by the same rules in nature, to believe we are separate or better in some way removes us from our natural state and the further we drift, the less we remain human.

According to psychologist Carl Jung, horses symbolize natural forces mastered by human beings. Just like we harness a horse to ride it or use its power, we can harness our own energy or nature’s to serve us and bring us further.

  1. The Horse just happens to be one of my original Totem Animal-Spirits.

It has been over twenty-five years since I had to say goodbye to my two sweeties. I still miss them to this day!

  2. Mine too 🙂
So sorry for your loss 😦
It has been around 24yrs since I lost my last one too.
Horses and dogs, two very different creatures in many ways, yet they are so very very similar too. Not just on a soul level but in how they connect to us like family and we feel their loss like that of a child’s.

    Blessings to you ❤
